👋 Friends, This Is My Story
Friends, today let me share my own story with you.
It is a story where I discovered a simple truth:
👉 What we want does not always happen…
But what God plans for us is never wrong.
🎓 2001 – The Beginning at Shibpur
The year was 2001.
I took admission in B.E. College, Shibpur for the first time.
My stream was Metallurgical Engineering.
New campus, new friends, new dreams… everything looked exciting.
But after some time I realised that this subject called “Metallurgy” was not creating any spark inside me.
I sat in the classes, but my mind was travelling to a different world.
At that time, I was more interested in computer hardware, assembling and software.
While others were learning about metals and their structure, I was busy opening computers and putting them back together.
Slowly, the word Metallurgy itself became a kind of joke for me.
I used to say with a smile: “Metal‑e Allergy!”
Because honestly, I really had an allergy to metals at that time.
So, to speak very honestly:
- ❌ I did not like Metallurgy
- ❌ I found it boring
- ❌ I did not properly understand it
When my engineering studies were over, I decided:
“I will not stay in this line. I will do something else.” 🚪
💻 First Attempt – IT Career
I tried to leave Metallurgy and go into the IT industry.
At that time, IT was a “hot and high‑paid” field. Everyone was moving towards software and IT.
I also thought: “Let me see if I can do something in IT.”
💼 Result?
I could not move very far in that direction.
My educational background was Metallurgy, and I did not have solid IT experience. So that path also got blocked for me. 😔
📊 Second Attempt – MBA in Marketing
When IT did not work out, I made a new plan:
“Then I will do an MBA and go into Marketing.”
I completed my MBA with Marketing as my specialisation.
My plan was very clear:
- ✅ Finish MBA
- ✅ Get a job in Marketing
- ✅ Go completely away from Metallurgy
But here came the biggest twist in my story. 🔄
🎯 The Big Twist – Back to Steel
After finishing MBA, I started searching for jobs.
Finally, the job I actually got was in the Indian Steel Industry.
Yes – the field from which I was running away, life brought me back exactly there! 😲
At first I was confused. I thought:
“I tried so hard to escape – but I have come back here again. Why?” 🤔
🙏 God’s Plan – What I Understood Later
Now, when I look back, I understand a deep truth:
What I wanted did not happen. But what God wanted for me, that happened. And that was actually the best for me.
Because of this journey:
- I learnt the real application of Metallurgy in the steel industry
- I realised that Metallurgy is powerful and practical, not just theory
- I received a 20‑year safe, secure and stable career
- I gradually became a writer, trainer and storyteller – the role for which I was actually born
🔥 From Metal‑e Allergy to Metal‑e Energy
My journey can be seen in simple steps:
🎓 Step 1 – Metallurgical Engineering (Forced Choice)
I studied Metallurgy, but I did not like it. It felt boring.
💻 Step 2 – IT Career Attempt (Failed)
I tried to leave Metallurgy and enter IT. I could not.
📊 Step 3 – MBA in Marketing (Escape Plan)
I chose Marketing to run away from Metallurgy. Still, I could not fully escape.
🏭 Step 4 – Back to Steel Industry (Divine Plan)
God’s plan was different. I came back to the steel industry.
💡 Step 5 – Discovery & Transformation
I discovered that Metallurgy is actually fascinating – not boring, but very powerful.
🎤 Step 6 – Trainer & Book Writer (Today)
Today, I am a writer, trainer and storyteller, and I have written many books and articles in simple language.
🎯 What Do I Do Today?
👨🏫 Trainer
I teach corporate professionals Metallurgy in simple, practical English, so they can use it in real work.
📚 Writer
I write books and articles in an easy style, so that anyone can understand Metallurgy and explain it to others.
💼 Industry Expert
I have more than 20 years of experience in the Indian Steel Industry, connecting theory with real plant practice.
From My Journey to Your Life
What we want does not always happen.
But what actually happens can be right – if we are ready to accept it and grow with it.
I tried to run away from Metallurgy.
But God brought me back, because this was my true purpose. 🙏
🙏 Final Message
If I am able to write this book today, it is because I have struggled myself.
I know how it feels when a subject looks boring.
I know how it feels when you sit in class and do not understand anything.
I know how it feels when you think, “This subject is not for me.”
But now I know:
Any subject can become interesting if we use the right approach. 🎯
That is why I am writing this book – so that your own “Metal‑e Allergy” can also turn into “Metal‑e Energy!” ⚡
